Job Title: Office Clerk/Sales Representative
Location: Thornloe, Ag Centre
Reporting to the Location Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for numerous duties including administration such as invoices, serving customers, Taking/processing orders, and assisting the location Manager. The incumbent is concerned with promoting and maintaining a positive image for the Co-op.
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service at the Ag Center and to all clients.
- Conduct sales transactions
- Responsible for inventory counts and communicate inventory requirements with other sales/operation staff
- Responsible for ordering product and keeping inventory stocked
- Maintain accurate records of all products handled for quality, billing, inventory etc…
- Able to use computer software is required
- Complete prices change in software system
- Make sure all invoices and purchase receipts are processed and signed properly and remitted to head office on time
- Must possess a general level of mechanical aptitude
- Must be safety conscious; know and follow proper steps and procedures for any task performed
- Be able to work irregular hours, under minimum supervision (40 hours, 6 days a week during peek time)
- Promote the Co-operative’s products, services and philosophy
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements and Experience
- Agricultural background considered an asset
- Energy (Petroleum and Propane) background considered an asset
- Demonstrate some leadership skills, with a focus on operations and business processes.
- An understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles. High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Some knowledge of the Co-op’s organization, policies and principles would be an asset
- Punctual and good work ethics
- Considerable knowledge of health and safety regulations would be an asset
- Bilingual - fluent in both English and French would be an asset
Job Type: Full time
Salary: $19.00 - $24.00
