• Public Works/Park Attendants:  Three (3) Public Works/Recreation – up to fourteen weeks (May 12 – Aug 15)

The Township of Coleman is accepting applications for summer student positions. Applicants must be between 14 and 30 years of age as of the first day of employment, be enrolled as a full-time student (secondary, post-secondary, vocational, or technical), and plan to return to full-time studies in the fall.

Position Overview:

Successful candidates will work in the Coleman Public Works Department under the supervision of the Public Works Lead Hand.

Responsibilities include:
• Turf maintenance, gardening, and weed control
• Park caretaking and general upkeep
• Painting and minor repairs
• Garbage collection and other maintenance duties

Qualifications:
• Comfortable using small tools and equipment (lawnmowers, weed eaters, power
tools, etc.)
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Physically able to perform outdoor work
