40 hours per week  - (WEDNESDAY - SUNDAY 11:00am - 7:00pm)

The City of Temiskaming Shores is currently seeking a motivated, independent, and reliable individual to join our team as a Contract Marina Operator within the Recreation department. The incumbent is responsible for performing various tasks to help ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our New Liskeard and Haileybury marinas.  

Role and Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for marina operations as it pertains to maintenance, boater and public correspondence, customer service and business needs, health and safety adherence, fuel dock operations, grounds maintenance, building cleanliness (e.g. washroom cleaning).

• Assigning boat slips based on availability and specific boat needs.

• Assisting with the proper and safe docking of customer boats.
• Provide excellent customer service while safely fueling boats.
• Accurately collecting and processing customer payments.
• Maintaining accurate transaction records and providing customers with receipts
• Facilitate a positive, helpful, and friendly environment for all patrons utilizing marina facility.

• Perform general dock maintenance as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Successfully completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• Experience in Marina operations would be considered an asset.
• Valid “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence with acceptable driving record.
