Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and help deliver excellent food across our restaurant and events. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident kitchen professional who enjoys combining leadership, cooking, organization, and creativity.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining high food quality and safety standards, managing costs and inventory, supporting daily service, and developing weekly features and seasonal menus. Working closely with the Owner and General Manager, you’ll help shape an efficient, positive, and successful kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead, schedule, train, and support a small kitchen team.
● Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and event food production.
● Work hands-on on the line and support the team during busy service periods.
● Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, portion control, and preparation standards.
● Manage food costing, ordering, inventory, storage, rotation, and waste reduction.
● Collaborate with the Owner and General Manager to plan weekly features, seasonal menus, and event offerings.
● Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets all health and food safety requirements.
● Train staff in food handling, sanitation, preparation, and workplace safety.
● Monitor, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment; report issues and coordinate repairs.
● Create prep lists, assign daily priorities, and keep the kitchen operating efficiently and professionally.
● Help foster a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.
Qualifications
● Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Chef, or in a similar leadership role.
● Strong cooking and line experience.
● Experience with food costing, ordering, inventory control, and menu planning.
● Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
● Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a small team.
● Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant and event environment.
● Reliable, hands-on, and committed to quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
