Northeastern Public Health (NEPH) is seeking a dynamic individual to support the organization in
collection, monitoring, analysis, interpretation, and reporting epidemiologic population health
assessment and surveillance data.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support monitoring and generating reports from local, provincial and national datasets to assist in
program planning and evidence-informed decision making.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master of Science in Epidemiology, or related discipline, with a minimum of two years’ experience
working in public health or community‐based epidemiology or health data analyst role;
• Knowledge of epidemiological and statistical methods;
• Experience analyzing population health data and using various public health data sources;
• Excellent knowledge translation skills and ability to communicate complex data to audiences of
varying literacy levels;
• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities such as synthesizing information, identifying trends,
and drawing conclusions;
• Experience with statistical analysis software;
• Write clear and accurate population health summaries;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting;
• Required to comply with the Health Unit’s immunization policies, which requires vaccination
against COVID-19 unless valid medical exemption is provided;
• Proficiency in both official languages an asset.
