Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and External Relations, this position is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the College’s social media platforms in order to increase the College’s online brand and reputation, including program and College Campus/community promotion to potential students and partners.

The incumbent is responsible for:
- Maintaining all of the College’s social media presence
Researching and developing new social media platform identities and listening tools
Researching statistical data/information and assessing success of social media campaigns
Compiling reliable data to measure trends, etc.
Creating e-update College Newsletter
Assisting with the editing and development of impactful videos
Education & Experience:
Two (2) year Diploma – in any field of Social Media Management, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications
A combination of relevant education and relevant experience may be considered
The incumbent must:
- Possess a minimum three (3) years of similar work and/or related program experience in social media and brand promotion, design and communications skills, along with an ability to engage with internal and external partners.
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram and other social media platforms
Be a highly creative individual familiar with video editing suites and skills, communications best practices, current and leading social media and digital marketing trends as well as search engine optimization
Be a multi-tasker and team player with strong time management skills, excellent communication skills, and an outgoing and positive personality to engage and connect with others on Campus, both in the community and online
Be well-versed in Adobe Suite (Premier Pro) and Aftereffects
The successful candidate may?be required to provide a criminal reference check.
Proof of valid WHMIS/WHMIS Review card is a requirement for employment with Northern College.
