Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sewist (Sewing Expert) to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about sewing and garment construction, particularly in a chain mounting context. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial sewing techniques and a commitment to producing highquality workwear designed for the mining industry.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a sewing expert, preferably in an industrial garment manufacturing setting.
• Expertise in chain mounting garment techniques and handling complex sewing operations.
• Strong knowledge of various fabrics (woven, knit, technical textiles) and appropriate sewing techniques.
• Proficiency with industrial sewing machines such as lockstitch, overlock, coverstitch, and bar tack machines.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, durable garments.
• Ability to read and interpret patterns, tech packs, and production instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for machine operation and garment construction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks with precision.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory but a Plus!):

• Experience in workwear, uniforms, or specialized industrial garments.
• Knowledge of digital pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra) is an asset.
• Prior leadership experience in a sewing production team.
