Server/Bartender

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a positive, outgoing individual to join our front of house team as a bartender/server. The ideal candidate will have a range of availability and will have experience in the food and beverage industry. Shifts are varied. <Availability will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.>

Responsibilities

The responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

·       Welcoming customers, reading, and listening to people to determine food and beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking orders.

·       Performing opening, closing and weekly duties such as setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, replenishing condiments and basic cleanliness tasks.

·       Attending pre-shift and general meetings to update knowledge of special offers stock-related issues, and to discuss service and product matters.

·       Informing customers about new beverages, menu items and specials.

·       Tracking and stocking all beer and liquor inventory, accounting for spillage and breakage during each shift.

·       Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.

·       Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.

·       Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.

·       Performing closing duties such as sweeping and vacuuming, and preparing linens for collection by laundry service

·       Event Setup – includes assisting banquet setup AS WELL AS the bar.

·       Any other reasonable request made by management.

·       Providing great customer service.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

·       Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and specialty drinks.

·       Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.

·       Knowledge of inventory management procedures.

·       Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing the register.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·       Strong organizational skills.

·       Time management, problem solving, and strong attention to detail.

·       Strong customer service background preferred.

·       Experience handling cash transactions and using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

·       Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·       Experience in the food/beverage industry.

·       Possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
