Full-Time General Labourer - Burtons Fine Furnishings

Seeking a mature general labourer to perform woodworking duties in our cabinetry shop in New
Liskeard. Attention to detail, is a priority in this position. Both in inspecting cabinet parts prior to
assembly and in ensuring the assembly of a quality finished product. Other duties may include parts
manufacturing, cabinet installations, and other appropriate tasks as required.

The qualified candidate must be able to:
- Take direction from the owners
- Work independently with a minimum of supervision
- Work cooperatively with other employees
- Travel out of town (with installing crew)
- Read labels
- Organize cabinet parts according to labels
- Identify part imperfections and correct them
- Comfortably handle cabinets, weighing up to 100 lbs
- Stand at the assembly table for eight hours a day
- Perform other tasks as assigned such as part manufacturing and cabinet installation

The qualified candidate will be:
- Mature
- Courteous
- Professional in appearance and demeanour
- Responsible for providing a WHIMIS certificate
- Responsible for providing their own safety equipment: boots (steel toed), hard-hat and safety
glasses.

About the position:
- Full time position Mon-Fri 7:30-4:00
- It is available immediately
- Overtime is expected on occasion and is paid at time and a half

About Us:
We are a multi-generational family run business located in New Liskeard. Both men and women from
the family actively manage and participate in the cabinet making. We manufacture custom cabinets for both residential and commercial customers.
