Pedersen Construction (2013) Inc. is presently seeking Drillers to assist with various construction and quarry projects in the New Liskeard, ON and Kirkland Lake, ON areas.

The Driller position offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Hourly rate range of $35.00/hr to $40.00/hr commensurate with relevant experience.

Driller / Operator Responsibilities:
• Operate track surface drills (Terex & Gardner Denver)
• Work safely around heavy equipment and active job sites.
• Follow company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain tight schedules.
• Drill blast holes to specified depths at staked positions in quarries and on construction sites.
• Assist loading blast holes with explosives and detonators.
• Read instructions of diagrams, lay out drill patterns.
• Assist in connecting electrical wires and detonating cords.
• Ability to communicate with the use of radios.
• Hands-on experience in civil or surface mining work around drill and blast crews.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a driller is an asset.
