Leeville Enterprises Ltd. ("LEEVILLE"), an affiliate of Area One Farms Ltd. ("AOF") is a land improvement company located in New Liskeard, Ontario. Its primary business is buying farmland, and land that can be converted into farmland, in Northern Ontario; clearing land and converting it to farmland; and renting farmland.
Leeville is looking for an Administrative Assistant with administration and bookkeeping experience.
The Administrative Assistant reports to the Operations Manager of Leeville and the head office of AOF and provides administrative and bookkeeping management for multiple companies of AOF.
Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include:
o Greeting and assisting visitors;
o Answering phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party;
o Maintaining polite and professional communications via phone, e-mail, and mail
o Coordinate with head office for accounts payable and accounts receivables;
o Job Cost reporting through bi-weekly payroll of a small number of employees;
o Employee Management including preparing of employment agreements and administration of group benefit plan;
o Assist head office with accounting and annual budgeting as required;
o Assist with government grant administration (tile drain funding programs), etc.
o Maintain basic accounting records as required by head office accounting department;
o Assist in Property Management of land and houses; including generating reports and maintaining records for land acquisitions, farmland leases and property rentals;
o Assist Operations Manager with equipment/fleet management, including CVOR and licensing requirements;
o Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system;
o Performing other miscellaneous office tasks as assigned.

Completion of a business, accounting, law clerk, office administration or related diploma/degree.
Prior administrative and bookkeeping experience preferred.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel and Word and SAGE accounting program.
